I've always been influenced by classic movies, literature, and music. In this series, I have picked an iconic character from the legendary The Great Expectations. Instead of perceiving this series as a horror one, I want to show the loneliness and disorientation of my main character Miss Havisham. The comparison ends there. My character has a stuffed toy as her only companion, friend, and someone she actually cares about.
How terribly sad it is to be lonely; whether forced or self-imposed. Getting cut-off from society only to find solace in the company of yourself and something one artificially attaches emotion to. Seclusion is dangerous no matter how comfortable it might look superficially. Reach out to friends, family or make new ones. In my series, I have tried to project this behavior of my main character who finds comfort in the company of her stuffed toy.
